surgery

on feb 25 hunter had his surgery.he had a hydrocele, which is fluid around his tecticle, if it doesnt get taken care of it can turn into a hernia. i was freakin out all day because sending your kid in for surgery is just scary. he was such a good boy and the surgery went well! he didnt even cry when he was waking up from the anestesia. we got to the hospital at 10 for checkin, we had to park the car on the 4th level in the garage, guess it was a busy day at the hospital.

when we got to the hospital a lady came and took his vital signs and then we had to change into surgery clothes. the clothes were way to big but they were cute and tied in the back. hunter kept trying to take the ladys stethescope.
me and mommy

me and daddy, (like my little hospital socks)

then we went into another waiting room, surgery was delayed an hour because all the recovery rooms were full. the doctor and anestesiologist came and met with us here.
when it was time for the surgery to start, hunter his blankie and binky happily went with the doctor without looking back. such a big boy!

during surgery mom and dad went to eat lunch. then the doctor came and told us everything went well. mommy got to go back and be with hunter during post surgery. hunter was very sleeping and his nurse said he was having trouble waking up. we finally got him to wake up and he had to drink a bottle of suger water.

during surgery hunter had an iv in his foot and breathing tube in.
then we went to the recovery room and daddy could join us there. we had to wait an hour to make sure he was breathing good. hunter slept the whole time, but they said he was okay. we got to go home then at 4. hunter slept most of the day and woke up feeling good the next day!!
hes on lortab and ibuprofin for the next few days and he cant have a bath for a little and he cant play in his exersaucer. but other then that hes back to normal!!
i cant believe how good hes handled everything!!

i'm glad to hear that everything went well. I would have been so worried and freaked out the whole time if Navie had to have surgery. How did you do it?! you all were good troopers : )
